Vinyl Premiere was a successful event. We had some visitors from as far away as Chicago. David Leep was on hand to capture the madness. Along with the viewing of the Vinyl “LP” DVD, we had our good friends Guests Of Guests play. Ryan Wert was a guest addition to the band and to say the least Bob, Jolie, and Wert put on a awesome show. I couldn’t be more happier with the turn out of the event. Already looking forward to making another film with the team!
Big thanks to The Wheel Mill for providing us with a awesome venue.

The year 2012 was a year of injury for the majority of the Vinyl Crew. Above is a picture of David Leep’s leg after surgery. He had a mishap at a set of trail’s, during the end of summer. Dave should be walking on his own two legs in a week.
On another note, you can keep tabs on us through social media.
I will have some better updates next week!

Whiting, Indiana recently demolished a skatepark that has been a staple to the Norther Indiana Scene for quite sometime now. Recently the city of Whiting took a very drastic approach to their Skatepark. David Leep writes a great article, sharing a few incidents at Whiting Skatepark . Above is Ryan’s video part from Vinyl’s first video “Best of Both Worlds”. In the video are some clips of Ryan riding Whiting Skatepark, while filming for the video we planned to ride really early in the morning, before the guard would wake up from his morning nap. Riding this place with out getting busted was a huge task.

This is a very interesting video, it just goes to show you how far BMX has come in the last 5 years.
Here are some words from Brian “BMX has allowed me to live inside the history books that once just weighed down my backpack as I rode my bike school. A few years ago on an etnies trip, we hopped a fence and rode a bank-to-rail in front of Hitler’s former airport in Berlin, which was crazy. I’ve also got to pedal down the same streets that Manuel Noriega once marched his army down in Panama. I’ve manualed through Red Square in Moscow and done a barspin in front of the former KGB headquarters. This video is a brief glimpse into an experience that goes beyond words. Riding in Saddam Hussein’s palace was insane. These brief minutes of riding through his former empire made things more vivid to me than any history book or Discovery Channel program ever could. I’m thankful for the experience and hope you enjoy it.”

Kevin sits down with David Leep to discuss what he’s been up to this past summer. He also covers his love for trails, his recent duffs sponsorship, even the Empire Video gets a little love, not to mention his home coffee brewing setup is pretty sick.
